Darrell
Webb is one of bluegrass music’s favorite entertainers.
Many of his fans recognize his powerful tenor/lead vocals and mandolin playing.
In addition, he has gained recognition for mastering the guitar and banjo as well.
Webb first hit the Bluegrass circuit with the Lonesome River Band and later toured
with JD Crowe. He is a founding member of the hot band, Wildfire, who is
known for their high-energy shows that keep fans on their feet.
Darrell has appeared on two albums with Dolly Parton, as a singer and musician.
He is also a successful songwriter having songs recorded by the Lonesome
River Band, Lou Reid & Carolina, and Wildfire. Darrell’s first solo
album “Webbsite” was released in 1998 and received critical
acclaim. Darrell’s highly anticipated
new solo album entitled “Behind the
Scenes” includes four songs he wrote/co-wrote. Special guests include
two-time IBMA fiddle player of the year Michael Cleveland, IBMA dobro player of
the year nominee Phil Leadbetter, and Dolly Parton. Look for the album release
early 2005.

"Some
people work for a lifetime honing their skills to become great musicians. Then
there are musicians like Darrell who just seem to have this natural gift. His
highly technical solos just seem to roll effortless from his fingers.
Then I need to add that this
guy is also one of the best singers I have ever known. He is the whole package.
In my opinion, the most under-rated musician/singer in bluegrass today. I'm proud
to be his band mate in Wildfire as well as his friend." ...Phil
Leadbetter, Wildfire

Webb's solo project OH MY!! They absolutely 'slam' I Beg You Little
Darlin'!! Ronnie Stewart's fiddle break is to die for and Darrell sings
it right on the money. " ...Mark Brinkman, songwriter

"Darrell
Webb is one of the most talented musicians in bluegrass music today.
He sings everything, plays everything and can remember the words to every song
ever written. What else could you want?" ...Tim Stafford, Blue
